found Eldorado

Eldrorado Canyon State Park,

that is.
And it’s worth its weight in gold.

Eldorado, Colorado / for the love of nike

This beaut is just south of Boulder.

The Ute were the first to call it home. It was the perfect shelter from Colorado winters.

It’s also surrounded by hot springs.

In the mid 1900s, some crazy dude (Ivy Baldwin) walked a tightrope across the canyon.

Now it’s home to over 500 technical climbing routes.

The walking and biking are pretty good too!

During peak season, you’ll need a permit to enter.
But if you ride the Eldo shuttle, you don’t have to have a reservation.

These sandstone cliffs are insanely gorgeous, especially at sunset.

You guessed it, they did mine for gold here in the gold rush, but mythical city of gold, this is not.
(unless you’re counting the sunsets)
